UQ's Academic Scholarship program aims to reward the achievements of outstanding school leavers and gap year students. If you are a high-achieving student and you are completing Year 12 this year (or you completed last year and you’re currently on a gap year) then you are encouraged to apply. There are three categories of Academic Scholarships on offer:
UQ Vice-Chancellor's Scholarships
Awarded to applicants who achieve a minimum ATAR of 99.90 (or equivalent).
Award Value: $12,000 per year
Duration: Up to 5 years
Level: Undergraduate and any subsequent related postgraduate coursework study.
UQ Excellence Scholarships
Applicants who have demonstrated outstanding academic, leadership and/or significant community service achievements during years 11-12, who achieve a minimum ATAR of 99.00 (or equivalent) will be considered.
Award Value: $6,000 per year
Duration: Up to 4 years
Level: Undergraduate and any subsequent related postgraduate coursework study.
UQ Merit Scholarships
High achieving students who have demonstrated significant academic, leadership and/or community service achievements during years 11-12, who achieve a minimum ATAR of 95.00 (or equivalent) will be considered.
Award Value: $6,000 per year
Duration: First year of study
Level: Undergraduate study
